For the younger generation, the iPhone, Blackberry, or PalmOS is the leading mobile brand for teens and up, but will still receive complaints and criticism for it’s age range. Many even say that they have not aged as much as other phones. These aren’t necessarily true. Let me explain why.
Older cellphones may have sound-a-like games, which are difficult to find today, or even special applications like advanced music and photo editing software. A higher memory than older phones allows you to download many more applications.
Lets look at a history lesson. The first cellphones (the ones that we call land lines) were only digital, and they were black. No power, no touch screen, but came with a USB-Port that could be used to hook up a computer and to create notes or emails.
Now, most mobiles come with a built in touch screen, but a lot of them lack video capability. Not only can you do this on the web, but you can do it from your iPhone, Blackberry, or Palm OS. The iPhone and Blackberry have a full color display, which is a luxury the Palm OS does not offer.
The newest models all have high resolution camera, even the iPhone has upgraded to a 16 megapixel sensor. Also, there are bigger and better screens and audio chips in phones, which allow us to listen to our MP3’s and video files from iPods, and larger screens for watching movies.
So to answer the question, yes, you can upgrade, but most of the top brands have very similar or the same kind of phone. These are more expensive, but you also get a better battery life, and more functions.
By this time, most brands are doing research on their competitors and do take into consideration what consumers want in their phones. New smart phones are more expensive but do give you what you want out of your phone. If you have a need for a new phone, the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 Pro is a good pick.
Apple’s phones are cheaper but are not as innovative as the other brands, and are sometimes not as powerful. People will buy these phones to replace their old one, but many find that they do not need to upgrade again. There are more important phones to buy for now.
So with these points in mind, it is really hard to see why people would complain about the iPhone, when their other phones don’t have all of the features that the iPhone provides. It is the same situation with Blackberry, PalmOS, Android, and other mobile phone brands.
As a conclusion, if you want to upgrade, you should keep in mind that you cannot get the latest and greatest in your phone, you will have to choose a phone that offers you the best features you need. This doesn’t mean that you should avoid the iPhone, you should always consider it if you’re having problems with your current phone.
